It's considered totally fine to think men are dangerous and be afraid of them and people don't even bother to try to hide it. 

There are popular movies where people proudly talk about how bad men are and often exhibit violence scenes towards men that is considered justified. 

A lot of people support segregation because men are dangerous. 

People defend their misandry using statistics showing that men do exhibit more violence (No matter that the absolute rates are very low and that you shouldn't judge a large group of people based on the actions of a minority of them) 

People look down on people fighting for men's rights. They think they're troublemakers and bad apples and are probably violent or terrorists. 

Men are routinely denied opportunities because of their gender and this is considered fine and good.

People deny there's even a problem.
